Q: What is the difference between H1, H2, H3, J Series & M Series?

A: H1: Heavy duty, strongly recommended for commercial use, available in steel and aluminum, includes ladder accessories.

     H2: Heavy duty rack for heavy loads up to 1,000 lbs, only available in aluminum.

     H3: Low profile, aero dynamic, wider crossbars, more geared towards recreational use (carrying biking, kayaking, etc), available with or without ladder accessories

     J Series: Low profile, light duty, aero dynamic, available with or without ladder accessories, only available in aluminum.

     M Series: Low profile, light duty, available in steel or aluminum, available with or without ladder accessories.

Q: What is the weight capacity of your racks?

A: 2 bar racks – 400-500 lbs

Q: My rack is making a lot of noise.

A: Most noise comes from wind deflecting off of the windshield of the vehicle on to the rack. Find out which rack they have and see below

H1 – Customer can try moving front crossbar forward or backwards by roughly 3 inches on a full size van or customer can purchase wind foil (use crossbar size to determine size)

H2 –  Customer should have received x amount of rubber bar guards see instructions for reference. Send out if they are missing them

J Series – Customer should have received rubber bar guards. Send out if they are missing them

Q: What is the difference between steel and aluminum?

A: Steel: stronger, heavier, low resistance to corrosion (rust)

     Aluminum: lighter, high resistance to corrosion (rust), all aluminum racks have reinforced crossbars and are thicker in gauge than their steel counterparts to hold the same weight capacity.

Q: Which roller do I need for my rack?

A: See catalog

Q: I have a minivan or SUV with with a factory roof rack and I’m interested in your OE clamp on system will this fit my vehicle?

A: Our OE system can clamp on to factory roof rails that have at least a 1/2” of space between the rail and roof. The factory roof rails cannot exceed 1.5” tall or 3” wide.

Q: My OE system rack doesn’t fit my factory roof rails?

A: Your luggage rails may need longer bolts than include with the OE system to clamps onto the raised luggage rails or you may have a flushed luggage rails in which our OE system is not compatible.

Q: I am missing parts

A: Locate customer order. Make sure customer has opened and inspected all included packages. If they have, ask customer to read off missing parts and quantities from instruction manual.

Q: Customers inquiring about racks for an 07-On Sprinter

A: Any customers that need a rack for their 07-On Sprinter must have the factory roof tracks installed if they don’t have them, they can purchase them from us.

Q: I have a Sprinter van 07-On, I need to purchase the roof tracks.

A: Have customer specify if they have a 144” or 170” wheel base van to determine which tracks they need.

Q: I have a full size van with sliding doors

A: Our racks will not work on full size vans with sliding doors. The door slides back to where the mounting brackets get installed.

Q: The roller for my Nissan NV low roof rack does not reach to the back of the truck its too short.

A: You need to purchase the 36” roller plates.

Q: Does your P3000 rack work on a Tacoma?

A: No. Nor will they work on any truck that uses tracks on the inside of the bed rail.

Q: I have installed your Chevy Avalanche rack but I cannot open my cover it is not clearing.

A: Use a few washers under the spacers to raise the overall height of rack so cover will clear.

Q: My topper has a slight curve to it?

A: We can provide rubber wedges that go in between your mounting bases and topper.

Q: I don’t see where I can mount your rack on my Transit Cargo van?

A: The roof on a Transit cargo van has paint covering the threaded mounting holes that can be removed with a blade or sharp tool.

Q: Will your Honda Ridgeline work with my factory cover?

A: Yes up to the 2015 model. Third-party covers will also work as long as the bed rails are not covered by them..

Q: Do your tracks come in any different colors?

A: Only silver

Q: Does your Rambox rack fit my 2016 model?

A: 2016 Rambox tracks must have the original factory tracks without the cover. The rails included when purchased with a cover are a different type of track that will not work with our rack.

Q: Will your Chevy Avalanche rack work with my factory cover?

A: Yes

Q: My box truck is __ wide what size should I get?

A: Purchase a size slightly wider than your box truck. Crossbars can be cut to fit.

Q: How do I know if your rack will fit on my conversion van?

A: All conversion vans need 3/8” of space in the rain gutter to mount our mounting brackets

Q:  Can I use 3rd party accessories with your racks?

A: A285 and A286 crossbars can work with 3rd party accessories from Thule, Yakima, etc.

Q: Does your conduit carrier include the PVC pipe?

A: No it does not.

Q: I saw it somewhere else cheaper

A: Unfortunately we do match prices to ensure our distributors receive business.

A: No yo do not. You can purchase a plus nut kit. (2014-On Transit Connect/ Mid Size Vehicles)

Q: What are plus nuts?

A: One-piece internally threaded nut when installed expands into an existing hole that allows installation from only one side.
